Iran says potential US agreement excludes nuclear programme talks
13 June 2026 17:37
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai has said that a prospective agreement with the United States will not include discussions on the country’s nuclear programme.
He said the draft understanding currently under consideration—referred to as the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding—focuses primarily on ending hostilities and does not cover nuclear-related issues, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
“The Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, which is currently being worked on, focuses on ending the war, and at this stage, it has been decided not to discuss nuclear issues,” Baghai said.
