Iran says talks ongoing but too early to assess outcomes
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said negotiations and exchanges of messages are continuing, but cautioned that it is too early to evaluate their outcome until tangible progress has been achieved.
According to a statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Araghchi said discussions remain preliminary and should not be regarded as final until clear results emerge, Caliber.Az reports.
The foreign minister did not provide further details about the negotiations but stressed that any assessment at this stage would be premature.
Separately, Araghchi addressed visa arrangements for Iran's national football team, saying Iranian officials in Türkiye had held consultations with the Mexican Embassy in Ankara.
According to the minister, Mexican authorities agreed to waive the fingerprinting requirement as part of the visa process.
Iran's Minister of Sports and Youth said a decision had been made to send a single representative to complete the necessary procedures, allowing visas to be issued for the entire team.
