Iran says US projectile hits residential building, injures children

An American projectile struck a residential building in the city of Qeshm in southern Iran, injuring two children, Iranian officials said.

Ahmad Nafisi, deputy governor of Hormozgan province, said one of the projectiles hit the building, according to the state news agency IRNA.

Local emergency authorities said the two injured children were taken to hospital.

Search efforts are ongoing to locate any additional victims trapped under the rubble, Tasnim news agency reported.
