Iran says US strikes spared Qeshm port but hit water facilities in Sirik

Iranian state media reported that no commercial port facilities on Qeshm Island were damaged in the latest US strikes, seeking to dispel concerns about disruption to key maritime infrastructure.

However, the reports said the overnight attacks on Tuesday, June 9, did hit civilian infrastructure elsewhere. According to state media, cited by Iran International, two water storage tanks in the Bamani district of Sirik were struck, leading to a disruption in local drinking water supplies.

“In the enemy's attack on Sirik tonight, two water tanks in the Bamani district were hit, and drinking water has been cut off,” the report said.
