Iran seizes assets of 129 individuals in West Azerbaijan

Iran’s judiciary has seized the assets of 129 individuals in West Azerbaijan province over accusations of cooperation with foreign countries, according to the province’s chief justice.

Nasser Atabati said those targeted were accused of working with the United States and Israel, but did not provide evidence to support the claims, Iran International reports.

He added that the judiciary would continue asset seizures against individuals he described as “traitors.”

Authorities have not released further details about the individuals affected or the scope of the confiscations.
