Iran sets Israeli tanker ablaze in Persian Gulf, IRGC says

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had carried out strikes against key US and Israeli targets in the Persian Gulf, including an Israeli-linked oil tanker.

In a statement, the IRGC said that its naval forces used a combination of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones in the operation. It claimed that the Israeli tanker Aqua One had been hit and set on fire, with a blaze ongoing aboard the vessel, Caliber.Az reports. 

The statement further asserted that two U.S. early warning radar systems had been destroyed and that unspecified “hidden bases” belonging to opposing forces were also targeted.

According to the IRGC, several officers were hospitalised as a result of the strikes.
