Iran shifts war strategy, prepares for retaliatory strikes against US, Israel Senior military official confirms
Iran has moved from a defensive to an offensive strategy in its confrontation with the United States and Israel, signaling a shift in its warfare tactics, senior military official Ali Abdollahi said.
The commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters stated that Iranian forces are operating at maximum effectiveness, according to foreign media.
He said that the armed forces, with the support of young and determined scientists, are producing advanced weapons capable of disrupting the enemy’s calculations. Abdollahi added that opposing forces have already begun to recognise this shift, and emphasised that the development will continue, bringing new surprises on the battlefield.
Tehran has previously warned that it would target all US energy and information infrastructure in the Middle East if Washington and Israel carry out further strikes on Iran’s fuel and energy facilities. In addition, Tasnim, citing a source, reported that Iran is preparing an “unprecedented” response if the United States proceeds with a plan to occupy Kharg Island.
