Iran showcases Shahed 161 reconnaissance drone capabilities VIDEO
Iranian drone experts from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force tested the engine of the Shahed 161 drone during an exhibition showcasing the force’s technological achievements on November 11, Mehr writes.
The Shahed 161 is a versatile drone designed for reconnaissance and surveillance missions. It has a maximum operational range of 150 km, a takeoff weight of 170 kg, a flight endurance of 2 hours, a maximum altitude of 26,000 feet, and a top cruising speed of 135 km/h.
The drone is launched from a vehicle and is capable of carrying two bombs weighing up to 50 kg, as well as optical payloads.
The exhibition took place at the IRGC Aerospace National Park, highlighting the force’s latest advancements in drone technology.
