Iran shows military strength with 100 helicopters during drills

One hundred helicopters from the airborne division of Iran’s Army Ground Force have been involved in a military exercise in the western province of Kermanshah.

The first phase of the drill focused on practicing offensive, security, and mobility tactics and took place near the border city of Naft Shahr, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.

The exercise involved a range of military helicopters, some of which had been refurbished by Army technicians.

Iran’s Armed Forces conduct regular military drills throughout the year, and Iranian officials have consistently emphasized that the country will continue to enhance its military, including missile capabilities, solely for defensive purposes, and that these capabilities will never be up for negotiation.

Deputy Operations Commander of the Army Ground Forces Amir Karim has said that the goal of the exercises is to counter any external security threats to Iran.

Moreover, the exercises, named "Great Prophet Authority 19," took place across southern Iranian provinces, including Bushehr and Khuzestan. On the final day, the IRGC Navy launched Qaem and Almas missiles from advanced Mohajer 6 and Ababil 5 drones, demonstrating the use of AI technology in Iran's missile systems.

Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, the IRGC Navy’s Commander, highlighted the significant upgrades to the Navy's equipment and systems. The drills featured ballistic and surface-to-surface missile launches, including an offensive missile from the Shahid Soleimani warship, along with the interception of enemy targets using Kowsar 222 missiles.

Tangsiri explained that the military drills, conducted in the northern and central Persian Gulf, aimed to strengthen coordination and combat readiness within the IRGC Navy. The exercises also sent a message of peace and friendship to neighboring nations, emphasizing Iran’s commitment to regional stability.

Iran’s Armed Forces, including both the Army and the IRGC, continue improving their combat readiness in response to external threats, reaffirming their dedication to defending the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
