Iran signals possible new EU nuclear talks pending clear European decision
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi indicated that another round of negotiations with European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas could take place, but only if Europe adopts a clear and decisive position.
Speaking to IRIB, Araghchi described his recent discussions in Cairo with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi as “very serious,” emphasising the challenges of conducting talks in the shadow of ongoing conflict and the memory of martyrs. He stressed that these negotiations are difficult and far from occasions for optimism, Caliber.Az reports via Mehr.
While reaffirming Iran’s continued commitment to diplomatic engagement, Araghchi noted that the prospect of further dialogue with the EU hinges on whether the European side is willing to make firm decisions moving forward.
