Iran strikes industrial targets in UAE, Bahrain
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has carried out missile and drone strikes on two industrial facilities — the EMAL plant (part of the Emirates Global Aluminium corporation) in the United Arab Emirates and the ALBA plant in Bahrain.
According to ISNA, Iranian military sources said the targets were linked to the United States’ military and aerospace presence in the region.
“Iran’s response to threats from enemies will no longer follow the principle of ‘an eye for an eye’ and will instead deliver a more lethal blow to the military and economic structure of its adversaries,” the statement read.
Both companies confirmed the attacks. ALBA reported two injured employees in Bahrain and is assessing the extent of the damage. In the UAE, the Al Taweelah aluminium plant (EGA) reported damage and several wounded employees, though none are in life-threatening condition.
