Iran: Talks with US lose meaning amid violations of agreements
Negotiations with the United States are losing their relevance due to breaches of three out of ten key provisions of the basic agreements between the parties, Iran’s parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said.
He stated that the very realistic foundation for negotiations had been subjected to obvious and clear violations even before the talks had begun, adding that in such a situation, bilateral negotiations or a truce became questionable, ISNA reports.
According to him, one of the violations is the continuation of Israeli strikes on Lebanon. He also mentioned the appearance of a hostile drone in Iranian airspace, which was destroyed near the city of Lar in Fars province in the south of the country.
In addition, Ghalibaf said the United States continues to deny Iran’s right to enrich uranium, which is one of the agreed provisions.
