Iran to hold large-scale military drills in coming days
Iran will hold military drills involving various units of the ground forces in the coming days.
The Iqtidar 1402 exercise will be held in the Isfahan Province in central Iran. The drills will bring together artillery, armoured and airborne troops. However, details on the weapons that will be used during the exercise were not disclosed, TASS reports citing Tasnim news agency.
The Iranian authorities have not yet commented on the report.
The naval forces of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps held drills in the Persian Gulf in August. According to the Tasnim news agency, the exercise involved Fateh ballistic missiles and Qader cruise missiles, which have a range of 120 kilometres and 300 kilometres respectively, as well as unmanned boats and aerial vehicles.
