Iran-Turkmenistan trade interaction still growing - envoy
Iran Ambassador to Turkmenistan Gholam Abbas Arbab Khales referred to 55 per cent growth in Iran-Turkmenistan trade interactions in the last Iranian calendar year (starting on March 21, 2022), saying the interactions are still growing.
Speaking to IRNA, Arbab Khales said on June 18 that the new round of development of commercial, transit, cultural, and political relations with Turkmenistan started with the visit of the Iranian president to Ashgabat in November 2021.
Developing political relations with Turkmenistan accelerated the all-out cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic and commercial spheres, he added.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he hailed the National Iranian Gas Company’s report of 250 per cent growth in the gas swap from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan in the last Iranian calendar year.
