Iran unveils Shahed-107 new precision suicide drone
Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force has officially introduced its newest suicide drone, the Shahed-107, designed for precision attacks against hostile targets.
Unveiled on June 16, the Shahed-107 is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) powered by a piston engine, allowing it to operate at distances exceeding 1,500 kilometers. This extended range marks a significant advancement in Iran’s drone capabilities, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
Recent imagery has emerged showing an Iranian drone resembling the Shahed-107 approaching the Israeli Arrow 3 missile defense system over occupied territories. If these images are verified, they would highlight the drone’s ability to penetrate Israel’s sophisticated, multi-layered air defense network.
Military analysts warn that the deployment of swarms of Shahed-107 drones could severely challenge Israeli air defense systems, potentially enabling coordinated strikes capable of causing substantial damage.
