Iran urges China to fast-track joint projects, agreements
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called for closer cooperation with China and faster implementation of bilateral agreements and joint projects, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said.
Araghchi made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran with Iran’s ambassador to China, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, Iran International reports.
The Iranian foreign minister underscored the importance of Tehran’s strategic partnership with Beijing and urged both sides to make greater use of existing opportunities to expand cooperation.
He particularly highlighted the need to advance projects and initiatives under the countries’ 25-year comprehensive cooperation agreement.
Araghchi also stressed the importance of maintaining regular consultations and coordination between Iran and China on regional and international developments.
