Iran urges EU to address Israel’s actions in region
Iran’s foreign minister has urged the European Union to take action over what Tehran describes as Israel’s ongoing violations of international law in the Middle East.
In a phone call on November 28 with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi criticised Israel’s military operations in Palestinian territories and Lebanon, calling them persistent breaches of international norms, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
“The scale and continuity of these actions place a responsibility on the international community to respond effectively,” Araqchi said.
The conversation also touched on Iran’s nuclear programme, with Araqchi reiterating Tehran’s positions.
Both officials stressed the importance of continued dialogue to exchange views on regional and international developments.
