Iran vows continued response to attackers, acting defence minister says
Iran will persist in responding to aggressors and ensure full accountability for recent attacks, the country’s acting Defence Minister, Majid Ebnolreza, said in a phone call with his Turkish counterpart, Yaşar Güler, Iran International reports.
Ebnolreza emphasized that Iran seeks “full punishment” of the attackers and is committed to maintaining deterrence to prevent further conflict.
He acknowledged that Iran had agreed to engage in talks despite deep distrust of the United States, framing negotiations as an effort to reduce regional tensions. However, he stressed that recent military actions by US and Israeli forces left Iran “with no option but to defend itself.”
Türkiye’s defence minister condemned the attacks as a serious violation of international law and expressed condolences for the deaths of senior Iranian leaders and military officials.
