Iran vows retribution against countries assisting Israel
Chairman of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Ebrahim Azizi has said that Iran vowed to deliver a strong response to the countries that assisted Israel in intercepting Tehran's recent missile attack on Israeli territory.
"The countries that aided the Israeli regime in intercepting Iranian missiles during Operation 'True Promise - 2' must be aware that their hostile actions are etched in the historical memory of the Iranian people, and they will face a devastating response at the appropriate time,” he noted, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Azizi was referring to Western countries, including the United Kingdom.
He also believes that the efforts of Israel's allies have proven futile, stating they "failed to halt the operation and prevent its objectives."
Iran referred to its recent missile strike on Israel as Operation “True Promise – 2”, drawing parallels to Operation “True Promise – 1” which was an Iranian attack on Israel in April 2024 in response to an Israeli strike on the Islamic Republic's consulate in Damascus. During that incident, the defence against the attack on Israel involved the US, the UK, France, and Jordan.
