Iran warns of harsh response to any aggression After Trump’s threats
Iran will respond firmly and without delay to any aggressive actions against the country, said Ali Shamkhani, political adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In a post on his X page in Russian, Shamkhani wrote that Iran’s response measures are defined in advance within its defence doctrine, per Caliber.Az.
He was commenting on remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump about the possible use of force against Tehran.
“Iran’s missile and defence capabilities are not subject to control and do not require permission. Any aggression will be met with an immediate and harsh response that goes beyond the expectations of those who plan it,” Shamkhani wrote.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking at a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said Washington was open to dialogue with Iran but did not rule out the use of force if Tehran tries to rebuild its nuclear programme, warning that the consequences of such a move could be “more powerful than the last time”. “We’ll knock them down. We’ll knock the hell out of them,” Trump said.
