Iran warns of immediate response to any US military "miscalculation"
An Iranian military spokesman has warned that any US “miscalculation” would trigger an immediate and decisive response from Iran.
Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, spokesperson for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s army, said the Iranian Armed Forces had drawn lessons from past conflicts and would no longer tolerate hesitation or delays that give adversaries time to act, Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media.
“If such a miscalculation is made by the Americans, it will certainly not unfold the way Trump imagines – carrying out a quick operation and then, two hours later, tweeting that the operation is over,” he said.
He stated that Iran’s operational plans have already been finalised and include instructions for rapid responses to all possible scenarios. Akraminia added that US military bases across the region are within range of Iranian drone and missile capabilities.
The spokesman also cautioned that any US military action would not unfold as Washington might expect, dismissing the notion of a brief operation followed by a quick declaration of success. He warned that such a move could instead escalate into a large-scale confrontation affecting the wider West Asian region.
