Iran warns of "new surprises" in event of war

Iran has warned that its armed forces would unveil “new surprises for the enemy” if a war were to break out.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on May 18 that Tehran is fully prepared to respond to any adversaries, adding that pressure and threats have failed to alter Iran’s strategic position, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.

He said the United States had already learned that neither military threats nor economic sanctions could “dissuade Iran from pursuing its rights.”
