Iran warns of swift retaliation over attacks on diplomatic missions

Iran has issued a fresh warning that any attack on its diplomatic premises would trigger retaliation against what it described as Israeli diplomatic facilities across the region.

A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said, reiterating a previous warning, that the “desperate and declining” Israeli regime would face consequences if it targeted any Iranian embassy or diplomatic centre, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.

“Should there be any aggression or attack against any embassy or diplomatic facility of the Islamic Republic of Iran, all of that regime’s so-called embassies and illegitimate representations in the region will be considered legitimate targets of Iran’s armed forces and will be struck,” the spokesperson said.

The statement added: “Do not forget that we act on what we say, with speed and force.”
