Iran warns US, Israel to uphold commitments or face response
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that Tehran would resume what he described as "proportionate measures" if the United States and Israel fail to uphold the understandings reached with Iran.
Speaking during a meeting with Belarusian Speaker of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko, Ghalibaf stressed that Tehran expects the agreements to be fully implemented, Iran International reports.
"We will firmly demand the full implementation of the understandings that have been reached," Ghalibaf said.
"If the United States and the Zionist regime do not honor their commitments, the Islamic Republic of Iran will resume its proportionate measures," he added.
Ghalibaf also argued that the recent conflict had demonstrated the limits of US military power against Iran.
He said the United States had learned during the confrontation that it could not confront Iran through military means, while dismissing Israeli claims as "nothing but baseless propaganda."
