Iran warns US maritime "piracy" will be met with "unprecedented" response

Iran has warned that continued US maritime operations in the region could soon trigger  "unprecedented military action,” according to a high-ranking security source cited by Press TV.

“The continued American maritime piracy and banditry will soon be met with ‘practical and unprecedented military action,’” the source said.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, added that Iranian armed forces operating under the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters believe restraint has so far been maintained to allow space for diplomacy.

However, the source warned that Tehran’s approach could change if what it called “conditions” were not met.
