Iranian analyst warns of plans to seize UAE and Bahrain coasts
An Iranian security analyst has said Tehran is prepared to take military action against Gulf states, including seizing parts of their coastlines, in remarks broadcast on state television.
In an interview aired by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, national security analyst Morteza Simiari warned that Iran’s military stands ready to respond if the United States escalates tensions in the region, as per a Middle East Eye report.
Simiari stated that Iran’s armed forces are “ready to take action” if the US “makes any mistake,” indicating a potential trigger tied to American military or political moves.
He further claimed that Iran is prepared to seize the coastlines of both the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, asserting that such a step could “fundamentally alter the regional landscape.”
“Entering the coasts of the UAE and Bahrain is on the agenda,” Simiari warned.
