Iran embassy’s “Lebanon - the heart of Iran” post sparks backlash
A social media post by the Iranian Embassy in Beirut has triggered a strong wave of criticism and heated online debate across the region.
The embassy published an image on platform X featuring a map combining Iran and Lebanon, accompanied by the caption: “Lebanon — the heart of Iran,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Al Arabiya.

The post appeared to suggest deep, intertwined destinies between the two countries.
The publication drew sharp reactions from users, many of whom accused Iran of exerting a harmful influence on Lebanon.
Critics claimed Tehran’s policies have contributed to the deterioration of the situation in the country.
Others specifically targeted Hezbollah, blaming the Iran-backed group for dragging Lebanon into broader regional conflicts.
Several commentators also called on Iran to refrain from interfering in Lebanon’s internal affairs.
