Iranian envoy says Mojtaba Khamenei alive and not hiding in bunker

Iran’s ambassador to France, Mohammad Aminnejad, stated that Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is alive and in good health, dismissing claims that he is hiding in a bunker.

“We are not obliged to put him on display; of course, he is alive and well,” the diplomat said in an interview with BFMTV, explaining his absence from public view.

Aminejad also rejected reports about bunkers for Iran’s leadership. “Our leaders are not hiding, despite claims about the existence of bunkers,” he said, adding that Khamenei “lives like an ordinary person.”
