Iranian FM blasts France over “double standards” on human rights

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has criticised France’s approach toward Tehran in talks with his French counterpart, Jean-Noel Barrot, held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, according to state-run IRNA.

Araghchi denounced France’s stance toward the US-Israeli attacks as “unacceptable” and accused Paris of maintaining a double standard on human rights issues.

“France cannot claim to care about human rights while remaining silent over the killing of Iranian women and children,” he noted.
