Iranian FM off to Lebanon to boost ties

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi departed for Lebanon on the morning of January 8 to hold talks with the Arab country's officials.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the cabinet session on January 7, Araghchi emphasised that Iran is pursuing the expansion of relations with Lebanon, adding that economic cooperation will be a key component of the trip, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media. 

He also ruled out the possibility of renewed negotiations with the United States under the current circumstances, citing Washington’s policies as an obstacle.
