Iranian FM to visit Pakistan for consultations on regional, bilateral relations
On May 4, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi will visit Pakistan on a two-day official visit.
During his visit, he will hold meetings with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian Foreign Ministry.
Foreign Minister Araghchi will hold consultations on the situation in the Middle East and Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations.
This visit provides an important opportunity to advance cooperation and dialogue between Pakistan and Iran on a wide range of areas including trade, economic, energy and security.
Besides, the visit comes amid heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed countries over the April 22 terrorist attack in the Indian-administered Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 people.
India has blamed Pakistan for the attack, but Pakistan has rejected the accusations.
