Iranian forces target US naval vessels near Bahrain

Iran’s armed forces fired cruise missiles at several U.S. military ships off the coast of Bahrain, Iranian state television reported, citing an army spokesperson.

“Iranian forces fired cruise missiles at American ships deployed off the coast of Bahrain,” the broadcaster said, according to TASS.

A U.S. destroyer was among the vessels targeted, according to the report. No information was immediately available on potential damage to the U.S. warships.
