Iranian Foreign Minister receives new Consul General to Nakhchivan

Foreign Minister of Iran Hossein AmirAbdollahian has met with the country's newly appointed Consul General to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Aziz Mansouri.

Mansouri gave a report to Amirabdollahian about his plans during his tenure in Nakhchivan, APA reports citing the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Amirabdollahian spoke about the relations between Iran and Azerbaijan within the framework of the policy of neighborliness and underlined the need to expand cooperation between Tehran and Baku through Iranian diplomatic missions in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Mansouri previously was the head of the Department of Multilateral Financial, Trade, Energy and Transportation Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
