07 March 2026 18:00
Authorities in Iran have ordered all universities and higher education institutions in the country to switch to remote learning until the end of the current academic year as military strikes by the United States and Israel continue.
The decision was announced by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, according to the Tasnim News Agency.
Under the directive, universities across the country must conduct classes in an online format for the remainder of the academic year.
The ministry also instructed higher education institutions to introduce compensatory measures for students who may be unable to participate in online classes for various reasons.
