Iranian interior minister to deliver Pezeshkian’s message during Pakistan visit
Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni is set to deliver a message from President Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistani officials during his visit to Islamabad, foreign media reports.
The source said Momeni is carrying a message from the Iranian president concerning the current regional situation, though details of the message were not disclosed.
Momeni arrived in Pakistan leading an Iranian delegation for a two-day visit, during which he is expected to hold meetings with senior Pakistani officials and discuss regional developments.
Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni will hold delegation-level talks with his Pakistani counterpart, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and also call on the country’s top leadership.
A key item on the agenda will be arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims travelling to Iraq via Iran for the Arbaeen pilgrimage later this year.
The two sides will discuss security, facilitation and coordination measures to ensure the safe and smooth transit of thousands of Pakistani pilgrims through Iranian territory.
