Iranian lawmaker claims US carrier Abraham Lincoln retreated after drone encounter
Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf claimed that the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln retreated after facing Iranian drones and missiles.
In a post on X, Ghalibaf stated that the carrier, which had been deployed to pressure Iran, withdrew from the battlefield during its first encounter with Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles, Caliber.Az reports.
"What a fuss they kicked up over the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln to put pressure on us, but this so-called bride of praise, in its first encounter with Iranian missiles and drones, abandoned the battlefield and retreated. The navy that was supposed to defend the security and stability of America's allies can't even defend itself against a few drones and takes to its heels in flight!" he wrote on X.

Ghalibaf also urged American allies and media to investigate the incident and reconsider relying on what he described as misleading statements by US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding regional security.
