Iranian lawmaker says Tehran will not forget France’s betrayal
Iran will not forget France’s betrayal, says Ebrahim Azizi, Head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.
Sharing a post on X, he stated that France’s anti-Iran rhetoric, including the expulsion of Iranian diplomats, is making the situation more difficult for Paris, Caliber.Az reports.
“The Iranian people will never forget France’s repeated betrayals on issues such as contaminated blood (an incident in the 1980s when French companies exported blood products to Iran for hemophilia patients that were contaminated with HIV and hepatitis C — ed.), INSTEX (an unrealized EU-Iran trade mechanism — ed.) and the snapback mechanism (providing for the restoration of UN Security Council sanctions against Iran — ed.),” the lawmaker wrote.

Earlier, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said France would soon expel two Iranian diplomats in response to the detention of two employees of the French diplomatic mission in Tehran.
