Iranian lawmaker slams US sanctions, saying instead of diplomats they should "send missiles"
Iranian lawmaker Ebrahim Rezaei has condemned US sanctions against Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani, the former Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, saying that “instead of diplomats", missiles should be sent to "negotiate with the ‘devil’ so it understands who it is dealing with.”
Spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian parliament said, in a post on X, that sanctions against a Foreign Ministry diplomat amount to “sanctions against diplomacy itself,” Caliber.Az reports.
"Now that an Iranian diplomat has also been sanctioned, instead of diplomats, send missiles to negotiate with the ‘devil’ so it understands who it is dealing with," he wrote.

He added that such negotiations are likely “deception” and that the United States has no interest in genuine diplomacy.
