Iranian MFA: Pakistan remains official mediator in talks
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has stated that Pakistan remains the official mediator in the talks, and its role is viewed positively.
Commenting on Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s recent visit to Pakistan, he said the main purpose of the trip was to convey Tehran’s position to the Pakistani side, Caliber.Az reports, citing Persian media.
Baghaei stressed that Iranian media should not automatically translate and publish every tweet or statement from the American side, as many of them prove inaccurate or deliberately misleading.
He made it clear that Iran’s policy from the outset has been transparent: any negotiations with the United States will be communicated honestly to the public, while any false information will be exposed.
The spokesperson added that experience shows “the United States and Israel often violate agreements, and the only reliable guarantee of compliance is Iran’s strength and active diplomacy with allies, including Russia, China and Oman.”
