Iranian MFA reports death of 24 children after US-Israeli strikes

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said that repeated strikes by the United States and Israel against the country constitute a violation of international law and effectively amount to a declaration of war.

According to him, Iran is using all available means for legitimate self-defence. Baghaei also stated that 24 children were killed in the province of Hormozgan Province as a result of the attacks, which he said “contrasts with statements by the US president about helping the Iranian people.”

Baghaei added that Iran’s foreign minister has held telephone talks with neighbouring countries and remains in contact with the United Nations Security Council in order to condemn what he described as “aggression” and to seek an end to the military actions.
