Iranian official says Mojtaba Khamenei sustained minor injury in airstrikes

A senior Iranian official has said that Mojtaba Khamenei sustained a minor leg injury during recent U.S.-Israeli airstrikes targeting the Supreme Leader’s compound.

According to Azim Ebrahimpour, Khamenei was present within the compound grounds at the time of the attack and was lightly injured by the blast wave from a missile strike, Iran International reports. 

Ebrahimpour dismissed reports suggesting more serious harm, describing them as inaccurate and aimed at fuelling internal division.

He added that speculation surrounding Khamenei’s condition was part of a broader effort to spread misinformation.
