Iranian official proposes "Nasrallah prize" as alternative to Nobel peace award

A senior Iranian political figure has proposed the creation of a new international peace award to rival the Nobel Peace Prize, criticising the latter as having "strayed from its original mission."

Abbas Kaabi, deputy chairman of Iran’s powerful Assembly of Experts, suggested the establishment of a “Nasrallah Prize,” named after  secretary-general of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah, during a recent speech. Kaabi claimed the Nobel Peace Prize has become politicised and now supports what he described as “projects of subversion," Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
