Iranian police uncover, detain sabotage group in Qazvin
During operational activities in Qazvin Province, Iranian police identified and detained members of a sabotage group who were planning attacks on military and government facilities, said the head of the provincial police, Mohammad Ghasem Tarhani.
“Intelligence officers of the provincial police, in cooperation with the intelligence branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Qazvin, conducted a series of operations, during which it was discovered that certain individuals had formed a sabotage group intending to carry out acts of violence and attacks on some military and government facilities,” the Tasnim news agency quoted him as saying.
Tarhani noted that all detainees confessed. It was also revealed that they had previously participated in organising unrest during the 2022 protests in Iran.
