Iranian president says retaliation not against neighboring countries “They are our brothers”
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that the United States and Israel are attempting to create tension between the Islamic Republic and the Arab monarchies of the Persian Gulf, Al Mayadeen reported.
According to Pezeshkian, opponents of Iran have misrepresented his statements in a bid to provoke discord among neighbouring countries.
“They mistakenly believe we apologised, but we only expressed concern over the anxieties of people living under tension,” he said.
The president emphasised that Iran maintains friendly relations with all countries in the region. “They are our brothers, and we must stand together,” Pezeshkian added.
He also noted that Iran’s response to aggression continues, but it is not directed at neighbouring countries or their populations.
