Iranian president: Tehran does not seek nuclear weapons VIDEO

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran does not seek to develop nuclear weapons and indicated that Iran would be willing to dilute its stockpile of uranium enriched to 60%, in an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier.

Asked directly whether Iran wants a nuclear bomb, Pezeshkian responded: "Not at all. Not at all," reiterating Tehran’s position that its nuclear programme is not aimed at developing nuclear weapons, Caliber.Az reports.

Baier also questioned Pezeshkian about Iran’s need for uranium enriched to 60%. In response, the Iranian president said Tehran was prepared to dilute the material, noting that "It's not a big deal.

Pezeshkian criticised the United States for its approach toward Iran, arguing that Washington had undermined diplomatic efforts through military action and economic restrictions.

“The problem is that America, instead of conducting dialogue, they descend into the arena by bombing us first, by blocking every passway. We are ready. This is not a way to conduct yourself on the world stage,” he said.
