Iranian president thanks Armenian PM for attending Khamenei funeral
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has thanked Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for attending the funeral ceremony of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in Tehran.
In a post written in Armenian and published on his X account, Pezeshkian described the Armenian delegation's visit as a gesture of goodwill, saying Iran would never forget it.

He added that the late supreme leader had attached great importance to relations with Armenia and had regarded the country as an honest neighbour.
The Iranian president also expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Chairman of Turkmenistan's Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), the President of Tajikistan and the President of Georgia for attending the funeral ceremony.
