Iranian president to visit Pakistan for high-level talks

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to travel to Pakistan on an official visit beginning on June 23, according to an announcement from the Iranian presidential office.

Habibullah Abbasi, director of public relations for the president’s office, told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that the visit will focus on strengthening bilateral ties and regional diplomatic coordination.

“Among the most important items on the agenda for Pezeshkian’s visit to Pakistan are: expressing gratitude to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his mediation between Iran and the United States; continuing high-level consultations between officials of the two countries; furthering bilateral cooperation and exchanging views; and reviewing and advancing existing economic cooperation,” Abbasi said.

The trip is expected to include discussions on political coordination, economic engagement, and broader regional issues as Tehran and Islamabad continue efforts to expand cooperation.
