Iranian president warns of decisive retaliation against potential US-Israeli strikes
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that his country will give a more decisive response to any renewed US-Israeli aggression compared to that of June.
The president made the remarks in a recent interview with the website of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Khamenei.ir, as reported by Mehr.
Saying that Iran is more powerful than it was at the time of US-Israeli aggression, Pezeshkian explained that "Our dear military forces are doing their jobs with strength and are now stronger in terms of equipment and manpower, despite all the problems we have, than when they attacked. So if they want to strike, they will naturally face a more decisive response."
He stressed preserving the unity of the nation as a better choice in the face of potential aggression.
"Regarding the corridors (railway links in Iran which are part of international corridors), which are very important, we will complete the Astara-Rasht, Shalamcheh-Basra, and most likely Zahedan-Chabahar corridors this year. If all goes well, God willing, we will complete the work related to these corridors this year," he highlighted.
Israel and Iran engaged in a 12-day war in June, triggered by an unprecedented Israeli attack on Iranian military and nuclear sites.
