Iranian Red Crescent says 940 killed in US-Israeli strikes

At least 940 Iranian citizens have been killed in U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran since February 28, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society.

Iranian television channel SNN cited Mojtaba Khalidi, spokesperson for the Iranian Red Crescent Society, as saying that 174 areas across the country have been affected by the conflict.

Khalidi said the Red Crescent has so far recorded 940 deaths, but search operations are still ongoing in some locations and the death toll may rise further.

The reported figures come amid continued hostilities following joint U.S.-Israeli military operations launched against the Islamic Republic at the end of February.
