Iranian speaker: Strait of Hormuz control could shift regional balance

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said that in 1622, after 115 years of occupation, “European colonialists” were expelled from the Persian Gulf, and that Iran now commemorates Persian Gulf Day in honour of that “victory”.

In a post shared on social media, he added that Iran today, through exercising control over the Strait of Hormuz, would enable itself and its neighbours to benefit from what he described as a valuable future free from the presence and interference of the United States, Caliber.Az reports.
